Beginnings
Patricia Anne Stratigeas, known as Trish Stratus, was born on December 18, 1975, in Richmond Hill to Alice and John Stratigeas. Patricia was not the only child in her family; she grew up with two sisters. Her father, John, worked as a real estate agent, while her mother, Alice, was a teacher.
Stratus attended Bayview Secondary School, where she began participating in track and field. After high school, she enrolled at the University of Toronto, graduating with a degree in biology and kinesiology. Trish was an active student who loved participating in various university sports programs, particularly football and hockey.
