Angela DeMontigny, a “tribal” designer from Toronto

As torontonka notes, modern fashion dictates its rules and trends, which, in their turn, guide fashionistas in the creation of the most up-to-date looks.

However, it must be noted that ethnic motifs are very popular too. Moreover, they are actively introduced into fashion collections and various clothing items. Such a style used to be a rarity, but later, designers started to combine it with other trends and fashion lines.

The history of Canada is closely related to the past of various indigenous peoples and this aspect was embodied in fashion. More and more clothes and accessories started to feature ethnic details and techniques.

Many designers liked that idea.

Angela DeMontigny is known in the fashion community as a talented Canadian designer.

Angela has gained great popularity designing clothes and bags made of leather and suede.

In addition, the fashion designer abundantly decorates her creations with ethnic details, such as fringe and beadwork. She called her style “local luxury”.
